Passenger Facilities:
Power outlets: Delta has power-poles located throughout the B concourse. A and C concourses do not have charging stations, however the airport has a 3 different decent sized Starbucks where you can easily charge a laptop or mobile phone.
WIFI: the only WIFI offered is Boingo pay-per use wifi.
VIP Lounges: B concourse: Delta Sky Club; C concourse American Admiral Club.
Overall impression:
Nasvhille International is a decent medium sized airport, for its size it has a good number of quality shops and restaurants. The bulk of which are located in the C concourse and to a lesser extent the main terminal area where all three concourses meet. If you have the time, I’d definitely recommend visiting Tootsies Orchid Lounge in C concourse which has live music playing all the time. You’re bound to run into at least several people traveling with their guitars at this airport. I’ve travelled a lot in my life and seeing people travelling with large instruments at airports like DTW, MSP, ATL, etc. seem few and far between. However here, at BNA they’re common place.
If you’re traveling with small children both C and A concourses have play areas for children which should make traveling a bit easier for you.

Plane spotting:
BNA offers decent plane spotting, the deli in the central terminal area provides a decent view of the ramp area of B and C concourses and of the runways.
Airport history:
The airport was originally commissioned in 1936 as Berry field, named after Col. Harry S. Barry. The airport officially opened to the traveling public in 1937. In the 1980s the name was changed to Nashville International Airport/Berry Field. The IATA code for the airport BNA is derived from Berry field NAshville. During that period of time, the current concourses were build. Concourse A was originally an international concourse for flights to Toronto. Concourse D was added for commuter flights operated by American Eagle, but as a cost cutting measure American Eagle moved over to C concourse and D concourse has been closed ever since.
